The coach’s role is to help their nonprofit tell their story in a concise and compelling three minute pitch (aka speech) that demonstrates their innovation and impact to Calgary. Along the way you’ll give tips on public speaking, ask questions that help the nonprofit clarify their story, and be their cheerleader as they take the stage in front of a crowd.
Each of the non-profit organizations will be paired with a minimum of two (2) volunteer coaches for the duration of Fast Pitch 2019.
Each coach will be provided with a Train-the-Coach workshop to equip you with tips and coaching skills.
Each coach will be asked to donate a minimum of $25 to participate as a coach. 100 percent of the donation will go towards funding the Coaches Choice Award. The Coaches Choice Award is voted on by all Fast Pitch coaches at the Final Pitch Off. All donations $25 and over are eligible for a tax receipt.
